You've asked tough questions that matter; but, your questions cause us to reflect on what the Bible would answer,
reinforcing the truth of the living word.
Who created God?
The Bible says that God is the alpha and omega - the beginning and the end. He calls himself "I am" (yhvh)
to show that he continually exists. He was not created he was always in existence. If He had been created by someone
or something, then He would not be God.
How could Jesus live on this earth for 33 years and not sin?
We usually think of sin as an act; but when we realize that sin is anything that is done apart from our dependence
on our heavenly father, it causes us to look more closely at the connection of the trinity and the relationship that Jesus
had with his Father. He says in the book of John that he did nothing of his own choice, but only that which
came from the Father. Since he lived a life of total surrender and dependence he could not have sinned. What he shows us is
how to surrender our lives to our heavenly Father and live depending on Him.
How do I go deeper in my faith?
Your faith walk is a combination of experience and allowing God to work in your life through prayer,
learning God's word, and being His instrument or vessel. Most believers will tell you that it was because of hard times, difficult
experiences and their own weaknesses that God was able to show them a deeper dependence on Him. Being on their knees or hanging
from a thread showed them that they can't live this life themselves. They had to turn their life over to their Lord who strengthened
them. Phil 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This verse is not meant to put the emphasis on
our strength with Christ's help, but on Christ's strength-Him living through us. He is the vine and we are the branches. We
can do nothing in and of ourselves.
